A technician was to decommission old servers and wipe the storage drives of all data but he wiped the data from the live servers rather than the old ones. Because of happening to know the right person I learned that it was down because they had lost all the account information. At one point my bank was down for a few days.
This goes for your important emails, stuff on any cloud storage service, things you upload to youtube, and so on. If you dont have a local copy you are simply on borrowed time.
Stuff on the internet is not safe and can vanish at any time. Outside of those two options, is there any other account that would work?
